He made the first Pakistan cancer hospital for the poor in the honor of his mother in 1995. he is one of the highest fundraisers of Pakistan.

Four years later he entered politics by forming his own party. Pakistan tehrek e insaf the party was branded as an anti-corruption.  but his popularity didn't give him to benefit in politics. in fact in his first election in 1997, he didn't win a single seat in the National assembly. but kept doing his best.  People of Pakistan got sick from 2 party system of the Nawaz Shareef and the Bhutto family that's the reason his party gets their strongest support from the youth and urban middle class. On 25 Oct 2011, he succeeds to gather one of the biggest crowds in the history of Pakistan at Lahore. This pulling of the crowd showed the end of the sharif and Bhutto dynasty in Pakistan.

The first time in the history of Pakistan there came 3rd biggest party. his motto is always to struggle hard unless you succeed. terrorism was a huge challenge for Pakistan. and khan has a novel approach to fighting it despite the criticism he thinks that talking is the only way to resolve the problem. he earned a nickname for that Taliban khan. in the 2013 general election, he won 35 seats in the national assembly and made govt in Khabar pakhtun khan.

His performance in KPK was outstanding during the tenure and he pulled Pakistani people to know about the corruption of sharref and Bhutto family after the Panamas paper. he fought against status co and corruption. Nawaz Shareef Pm of that time failed to disclose his constitutional asserts from the supreme court of Pakistan therefore he disqualified as Prime minister of Pakistan. After that awareness of khans, the party worked and people started knowing about the huge corruption of ruling parties.

He prepared his party for the 2018 election and after lots of struggle his party won the general election he became the prime minister of Pakistan after the struggle of 22 years.
